Who doesn’t love unlimited rice meals that come with free soup? We know we love these kinds of meals which is why we really loved this restaurant we found that serves unlimited rice meals, free soup and free iced tea for P88!
Coming up from our trip from El Masfino, we had an unplanned trip to Ilocos Norte. Since it was unplanned, we had limited budget which means we had to be smart with where we order food from. Of course, we can’t just go to any nearby carinderia serving cheap food since we were with our baby. Luckily we found a couple of restaurants that suited our needs and wants.
Our first stop was Baliwag Ihaw Plaza.
With a simple set-up, we weren’t expecting for anything that would wow us. However, the Arroz Caldo was really good and really good, it tasted very savory. The free soup was good too, it seemed to be made with chicken stock which explained why it was savory.
CHICKEN INASAL
For those who want vegetables with their meal, order the chicken. It comes with coleslaw as well as cucumber and carrots. The chicken is a bit tough but you can't really complain because the price is cheap.
FRIED LUMPIA
I love fried lumpia so I was happy that they serve fried lumpia but what made me even happier was that it was more affordable yet bigger than the fried lumpia served here in Metro Manila.
ARROZ CALDO
Their arroz caldo is better than your usual arroz caldo. Aside from its super savory taste, you’ll love there’s a huge chunk of chicken along with your usual egg.
SWEET & SOUR FISH FILLET
I was really surprised that they serve sweet & sour fish fillet with iced tea and unli rice for only P88. There were vegetables and the breading was not thick! Food stalls serving cheap fish fillet usually serve the fish with thick breading, but not this restaurant. The serving of fish fillet was a lot too for its price.

The pork bbq was a bit tough so it's not something I liked.

WHAT I LOVE
Cheap but delicious food, good service, and generous servings. Despite the food being really cheap and with good taste, Instagrammers will appreciate the food garnish.
